Welcome to Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary School
We are a small, village Primary School for children aged 4 to 11 in Dartmoor National Park, West Devon, with a reputation for caring and excellence.
We hope that you will spend some time browsing the site where you will be able to find out a little more about us.
Please feel very welcome to telephone the school to arrange a visit to look around. As a maintained Devon County Council (DCC) school, all applications for places into our Reception class should be made through the DCC Admissions Team. Click on the link to the Local Authority's website on our Links button.
Any other admissions ie. Year 1 to Year 6, should also be made via the Local Authority but please contact the school in the first instance.
We have 71 children on roll with 3 classes from September 2019:
Class 1- Reception and Year 1
Class 2 - Years 2, 3 and 4
Class 3- Years 5 and 6
We are extremely proud of our achievements. As our website demonstrates, the children at Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary School are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, Governors and parents.
There is a wide range of clubs that are offered free of charge to the children. These include singing, art, Fun at the Field, cross-country, computing and dance, to name a few. We provide these clubs so that the children have a richer and more varied school experience whilst having fun. Most of our pupils attend at least one club and children from these clubs are regularly invited to sing, play sports and display work within the community.
We hope you will browse around our website where you will find details of school events, visitors and activities that serve to enliven the curriculum, alongside other useful news and information about our school.
